- Section 184 of the FLA: definition of family violence
- Broader range of what is family violence
- father not respecting his transgender child's identity is family violence (currently being appealed)
- protection order warranted if family violence likely to reoccur
- if you can't get a protection order, try to get conduct orders
- conduct orders around not drinking, not belittling the other parent through the child
- conduct orders on what's necessary for client's circumstances
